Something happened again during my Jupiter rite that has become an earmark of my magickal evocation. Spirits often take unbelievably simple ideas and symbols and break them down to explain great mysteries to you.
Most of the time, I find, they take symbols and pieces of information you're already familiar with and then rearrange them in ways that become keys to unlock doors of perception you were previously unaware of. It may not be "new information" in theory, but is "new information" in practice.
Today's awesome mini vision appeared to me while I was in the contemplation portion of my Gate of Jupiter ritual, visualizing the seal of Jupiter. This I believe came to me in response to a request to the kingship of Jupiter to instill in me a sense for managing and growing my Kingdom. I saw a plant, a simple plant, like any you could expect to find in your yard.
The planetary symbol of Jupiter rose to the surface of my awareness with the words, "I am that which grows life", then watched the plant expand and grow taller.
Then Mars, "I am that which defendeth it", as I watched the plant develop thorns and resinous leaves.
Then the Moon, "I am that which giveth form to life",
Then Venus, "I am that which sows it.", as the plant developed buds and flowers.
Then Mercury, "I am that which writeth the fabric of life", and saw a cellular structure.
Then the Sun, "I am that which sustaineth life.", and watched the leaves rise skyward to soak in the Light.
Then Saturn, "And I am that which taketh it away." And watched night fall, and the plant shrivel.
The concepts embodied in these catch phrases are nothing new or original in reality. But the simplification of this grand cosmic scheme in the symbolism of the design, structure, birth, defense, development, sustenance, and decay of this simple life form in order to convey a truth of cosmic significance, that was pretty cool, I must say.
Very cool indeed Frater SEA
ReplyDeleteI like those mantras that came out of this working. They could easily work in the context of invocations or assumptions of the planetary energies, be they individually or collectively. Thanks for sharing.
